The thriller series Black aired on 9X has now shifted focus from paranormal to aliens and extra-terrestrials. Its about a UFO that lands in the jungles of Malda. A forest ranger played by Shikha Swarup who had done the title-role in Sunil Agnihotri’s magnum opus Chandrakanta and special investigation officer Mamik start investigating. What happens next is the crux of the story. When asked whether the track was inspired by Koi...Mil Gaya, Agnihotri said, “It is inspired by ET and all the stories that keep coming in the papers of spotting of Unidentified Flying Objects by people. In fact, once we were shooting in Mahabaleshwar and in the night, all of us noticed a flash of white light that existed for about 5 to 6 minutes across the sky. That is when I decided to use aliens and UFO as the storyline for this season of Black. But my aliens are very cute. People would like to take them home.” Incidentally, the director is also working on another serial Noorie, a love story for which he will be shooting in Himachal Pradesh. A student of Class VI of Jodhamal Public School, Piyush was among the only six dancers selected from across the country to participate in the show by country’s top dancer and the show’s judge, Jaaved Jafferi. “I started dancing at the age of three at home and later joined the Movangan Dance Institute at Channi area near my house,” said Piyush. “My family, especially my elder sister, supported me a lot in my efforts and finally I performed in front of the camera for the first time.” “Earlier, I was a little nervous. But Jaaved, Naved and Ravi sir gave me confidence and then I performed well,” said the enthusiastic boy, who has become famous in his school. Happy with her younger brother’s entry at the national level, Priyanka, Piyush’s sister, said that both of them are born dancers and she was also one of the best dancers in her school, but she quit due to studies. “I was more than happy when my brother got a chance to perform in Boogie Woogie,” said Priyanka. “I love dancing too, but it is just a hobby for me. I want Piyush should take it as career.” Similarly, the man who taught him the dance steps, Piyush’s dance master Rahul Pandoh said that his student was selected in the north zone dance competition last month in a solo number and then his video clips were forwarded to Boogie Woogie’s website by Rahul. Soon, Piyush got a chance to dance at a national event.
